Green Mountain Apps

Privacy

The short version: as little as possible, never sold. Last updated September 2026.

This page covers Green Mountain Apps and the apps listed on it. An individual app may have a shorter, more specific policy of its own — where the two differ, the app’s own policy wins for that app.

What gets collected

  • Nothing, on the free no-account apps. If an app does not ask you to sign in, it is not building a profile on you.
  • An email address and password hash, where an account is needed to keep your data.
  • Whatever you put in the app — your tasks, boards, bookmarks, workouts. It is yours.
  • Billing details, held by Stripe. We see the last four digits of a card and nothing more.
  • Basic traffic counts, so it is possible to tell whether anyone is using the thing.

What never happens

  • Your data is not sold, rented or handed to data brokers.
  • No advertising trackers or third-party ad pixels.
  • Your content is not read for marketing, and not used to train models.

Who else touches it

Only the services needed to run the apps: a hosting provider, Stripe for payments, and an email provider for transactional mail. Two apps send text you explicitly submit to a language model provider in order to do their job — those apps say so on the screen where it happens.

How long it is kept

As long as your account exists, plus a short window for backups. Delete your account and the data goes with it; billing records stay only as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

Export it, correct it, or delete it — ask through the contact form and it gets done. If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR rights you already have are honoured on the same terms.

Cookies

Session cookies where you are logged in, and a preference cookie for things like light or dark mode. No cross-site tracking cookies, which is why there is no consent banner in your way.

Children

These apps are not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, account holders get an email — not a silent edit with a new date at the top.
